Sharyn's Cansi To Share Please

If Tagaytay is famous for its Bulalo, Bacolod has its own local version called Cansi. This is a soup dish which has been made from stewing beef tender parts for several hours until it becomes softer. The soup itself is enticing and delicious, especially for the cold weather we are now experiencing. Delicious!

So for the cold season, my dad took us to one of the most famous Cansi places in Bacolod. If you are looking for great Cansi at an affordable price, there are only two stores that you can go to: Conee's and Sharyn's. These two are small carinderia- style restaurants where they also offer "turo-turo" food. Both of these restaurants are located along Shopping avenue and are just a few seconds walk away from one another.

For this particular day, my family chose to take me to Sharyn's. One order is good for 2-3 persons, depending on how much they eat.

But since my siblings and I go crazy over "utak" (bone marrow), my dad had to order 3 bowls. Aside from that reason, there was also a number of us who dined so it was justifiable!

Would you just look at that huge piece of utak bone marrow peeking out of the bone? Yum! If only it isn't bad for you...
