SALT: Should You Watch It?

Last night, I was invited by Cerbojam to watch SALT along with Martin. We attended the red carpet screening of the movie.

Here is my opinion about the movie and why you should watch it:

1. Yes, everyone knows Angelina Jolie's in it. This is one of the movies that she has dyed her hair blonde. And she looks pretty as a blonde! Angelina Jolie was so cool in the movie. There were a few scenes though that reminded me of her role in the movie, Wanted. Especially the ones where she stood on top of the truck.

2. Angelina Jolie... as a dude? Yep. Just go watch it. =)

3. Cool effects. I loved how the movie was done. Very realistic.

4. Awesome makeup! In the beginning of the movie, you can see a good job done by the prosthetic team of the star. It would really make you think that she got beat up by some people.

The thing that I did not like about the movie though was that it was a bit predictable for me. I kind of new who the villain was already but still I waited and hoped to be wrong. =(

Anyway, go watch it. It's a good movie. Well, it's no Inception. But still, it's good. Plus I think Angelina Jolie did a better job as Salt instead of their original plan to cast Tom Cruise (which would have been awkward).

Inception: A Must Watch

Last night, I watched Inception with Angel, Sam, Martin, and Mark. We caught the 11pm show at Greenbelt 3. I was so excited to watch the movie and it did not disappoint me. After watching the movie, we all headed to McDonald's to get some food after our minds being totally blown away.

Here are some of the reasons why I loved Inception:

1. It's another mind-boggling movie that will leave you with an open-ended questions.. 'Did Leonardo DiCaprio get stuck in Limbo?', 'Did Ken Watanabe really die?', 'Was Leo able to return to his family?' Nobody knows....

2. Awesome effects. I haven't seen effects this AWESOME for a long time. And the plot was done in a really smooth manner that there really wasn't any room left for doubting it.

3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Need I say more? I did not watch (500) Days of Summer and up until now, I don't intend to even though it was Joseph and Zooey Deschanel (whom I truly love!). My "situation" during the time it was shown would totally pave ground if I watched it. So I decided not to... So since 10 Things I Hate About You, this is the first time I saw Joseph.

4. Marion Cotillard plays Leo's wife. If you don't know her, you need to watch
Jeux d'enfants or Love Me If You Dare. It's one of my favorite movies of all time! Even though it was in French, I did not care! French lessons anyone?!

5. Cillian Murphy. When he came onscreen, Angel and Sam were grinning to each other. I didn't know who he was until I remembered he was from Red Eye. Oh and he apparently played The Scarecrow in Batman. I haven't watched it though.

6. It has some light comedy to it. The ongoing bickering between Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy was so typical.

7. I love a good mystery. And Inception was made truly well. I'd like to watch it again!

For those who still have not watched it, why should you go spend P200 on Eclipse when this is a better movie? I'm not a die hard Twilight fan but there was one time I was a fan. I am still interested but it's not worth my money. :D

July 15, 2010: No Pay + No Electricity = :,(

So there’s still no electricity at home. Boohoo. I end up with no pay for the magazine but at least I was able to get the money from my other gig. [Salamat!] Paid the bills… Globe and HSBC. Still have pending balance for my other card though but with the amount of work I have left, they should be enough.

With no electricity YET, I decided to spend the evening at Greenbelt with my friend, Angel. Sadly, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf did not have internet connection too! So I was stuck editing photos and did some grocery instead.

When Angel and I met up, we decided to eat dinner at Yellow Cab. We got the Pepperoni and Mushroom 10” pizza and waited for Martin and his friend Mark to show up. Out of the 10” pizza, Angel and I were only able to eat 2 slices each. So the remaining 4, she had to take home.

After a while, Martin and Mark showed up. We chatted for a bit and talked about a particular scenario that just occurred during the day. Private info though as he might be reading this…. [Who’s the stalker now?] ^,^

Martin looks scary here...

We then went to Red Mango to get our (Angel & I) addiction remedy: YOGURT! Seriously, Angel and I loves yogurt so much there was one time we ate a serving every other day! And of course, that meant we ended up broke for the next few weeks. Lately though, I’ve been MIA (missing in action, mind you) since my birthday. And I told her that I would be saving money from our yogurt trips. Last night was an exception though since there was still no electricity at home.

Martin and his huge order, Me, Angel

I got the small Original yogurt topped with grapes and crushed Graham crackers. It was so good!!! =) Angel got small Green Tea yogurt and topped it with motchi while Martin got large [?] Green Tea yogurt. We took pictures and the two boys talked about Toy porn, Katrina Halili, and what-nots. While Angel and I chatted about make-up, work, and our pets: Ponti and Motchi.

Eat Batman Eat!

We’re going to watch Inception later.. I can’t wait!
