iPhone Apps: Glee Karaoke (I CAN SING!)

Did you know I can sing? Me neither!
Here I am singing Baby, It's Cold Outside (Glee version) through an iPhone app called Glee by Smule. I really like the app because it allows me to practice my vocal chords. Plus it somehow restructures my voice so I'm not so out of tune. ^,^

I highly suggest those who are frustrated singers to use this app! :)

December 11 is International Angry Birds Day

To all the fans of Angry Birds and Angry Birds Halloween: I just got news that Rovio has decided to make December 11 as the International Angry Birds Day.

What does that mean? Nothing. ^,^

If you're a fan of the game, you can join in on the meetup I created for the game. I just created a meetup for the event to see if any would like to go. If not, we can all stay at home and play the game together.

The meetup is a great way to meet other Angry Birds fans and share techniques. ^,^ If you're interested, just click I'm Interested on this link: International Angry Birds Day.

The Battle Between Foursquare and Gowalla

Who doesn't know what Foursquare is? Like many people I know, I'm a huge fan of it too. The only problem I have with it is that I use my iTouch to access it. And like the same problem I had with Flurv/Skout, it keeps registering my location as Hong Kong. It gets tiring already since I have to create the location from scratch every time I check into a new venue. That's why my Foursquare has become inactive for several months already.

Recently though, I was able to discover a new app that allowed me to check in through my BlackBerry. I simply downloaded Gowalla, registered, and I'm already able to check in no matter where I am. The best thing I like about it is that it is definitely accurate! I no longer have to create a new spot since you can easily scroll down the list.

Although Gowalla is a clear imitation of Foursquare, this is one scenario that I can attest to. I prefer using Gowalla on my BlackBerry. Even if I use Foursquare on my BlackBerry, it still produces a lot of errors. It won't even let me check in.

So for now, I'll be in Gowalla. Maybe when I get to buy the new iTouch 4G 64gb, I'll be able to use Foursquare to its full capacity. But until then, that will have to wait.

iTouch Apps According to TheOatmeal.com

As much as I want to, I really would like to give my readers new bits of information on the latest iTouch apps. But because I buy these with my own money, I sometimes have to think about it for a bit. Other times, I try the lite version of the app!

I found this comic from The Oatmeal and made me laugh! More app reviews soon! ^,^

App Review: Accu-Weather

When news about super typhoon Juan (MEGI) broke, I made sure I had everything I needed with me. My sister and I went to buy groceries, I charged all my phones/laptop/iTouch, and made sure that everyone is safe. One of the key things that helped me track the typhoon was an iPhone app that I download.

Called Accu-Weather, this app will give you specifics on the weather news as well as how bad it will get. I used this app to track Juan's movements.

I suggest each iPhone or iTouch user should have this app so they can be ready for anything!

iPhone App: Angry Birds

Lately, my sister (Bubot) has been borrowing my iTouch every chance she gets. She was never a fan of my iTouch but when I showed her a new application that I downloaded a few weeks ago, she instantly became hooked to it. So much so that she and her boyfriend (Ronnie) have been playing with my device and have even passed several stages I have not even encountered. So this is my review of the new iTouch game: Angry Birds.

For those who are not yet familiar with this game, it is a highly addictive iPhone application that will make you go crazy! Every stage is unique and is equally challenging as the previous one. If you want to know more about this game, check out this cinematic trailer which was created for the game.

I first knew about this game when I searched for new apps to download using my iTouch. The good thing about Angry Birds is that there is a free trial that you can download. With the free trial, you can check out how well the game is and whether or not you will enjoy it.

After finishing the trial, I decided to purchase the app since it only costs $0.99. And I did not regret buying it! Even though I am super busy, the game keeps me happy when I end up (surprisingly) with nothing to do. The reason why I mentioned that the game is highly addictive is because it will make you stop work and concentrate on your projectiles and angles.

Even Luis Manzano has become interested in this app as he has mentioned the game in his Twitter account.

For anyone who wants to have a good laugh, I suggest you get the app. Tell me when you’ve been able to finish it! I’d love to learn some tricks! ^,^
