My First Attempt to Ride a Bike: FAIL!

Last Sunday, I was supposed to meet my fellow food bloggers for a lunch we've been planning for a week already. But because I slept at 2am Saturday and accompanied my brother ride his bike, my body gave up and is now taking it's toll on me. Even work today has been affected. I have not been able to do as much articles as I initially promised, which really annoys me. I hope I get better soon!

Anyway, I rode tried to ride a bicycle again at the Fort Bonifacio Mountain Bike Trail. Still, to no success. I really have a difficult time learning how to ride a bike. Even though my brother let me borrow his gear, I was still unable to get the bike to move. Every time I pedaled and attempted to lift my left foot onto the pedals, I would fall down. It came to a point where I was annoyed with the bike because it kept hitting my Achilles' heel.

So much for attempting to ride a bike.

Instead of riding a bike, I ended up walking a total of 3-4 kilometers wearing complete gear and with a bike in tow. It felt like such a strenuous workout even if I did not ride the bike. I also ended up being my brother's photographer and took some pictures as he did some stunts. I still do have to improve my shots though.




Wait till you see his 7 year old son, my nephew Nathan! Too bad he didn't join us yesterday.

Unfortunately, my brother did not photograph me wearing the complete bike gear. :( Maybe next time, when I have another spontaneous idea of learning how to ride a bike.

Third Time's the Charm

For the third time in my entire life, I joined Fitness First. I think I have been a member of the gym since 2008 but only lasted my "rigorous" routine for 1 month. Well, I really think third time's a charm with me.

I think the only thing that has stopped me from achieving my goals in Fitness First before was because I did not get a Personal Trainer. That's because they were so expensive!

these are not as easy as I'd like them to be... 

But thinking about it, I really do need someone who will be strict with me and PUSH me to spend at least an hour in the gym. I remember before I would arrive in the gym, go to the locker to leave my things and go out. After a few minutes inside the gym, I would return to my belongings and head home. Yeah, I've been bad.

Well, this time's really different.

I made a pact last time to purchase 1 item of frenzy every paycheck I make. That's because I did not do any shopping for at least a year. When I opened my closet, I realized I needed new underwear, shirts, dresses and shoes. I started with this pact a month ago. When I joined Fitness First, I decided to hold back on this pact.

Instead of spending money on clothes, I will use the money to pay for my PT. So right now, no more shopping for me. That's at least a couple of months! I think this is the best way I can spend my hard-earned money. I deserve to be fit, healthy and lose weight. I really do. Just like my life coach said last time:

I've been going to the gym rigorously for the past month. I spent between 3-4 days in the gym, sometimes even 5.

Kelly Osbourne: My New Weight Loss Role Model

For those who have been following my blog for some time now, you may have seen how indecisive I am of my domain name and blog template. I have transferred back from Ms. Single and the City and started on a different template before. But a few days ago, I decided to look for something cleaner. This is why I found the new template I am using.

But why a girl with dumbbells? Well, that's because now I take to heart my weight and health. I have decided to be stupid to join a gym for the THIRD time. Yes, it's the same gym: Fitness First. To all who know me, you know I have a beef with this particular gym. But I decided to rejoin because I care about myself and my health over my pride. Unlike before, I decided to stick with a home gym.

Back to my new template. It's a girl holding dumbbells. So that means, it's me 'cause I'm a girl. (doi). Related to this topic (health and fitness), I have decided to share who I want to look up to.

I am a fan of people who have made a huge transformation in their life. This is why when I was able to find Kelly Osbourne on E! News, I was really shocked in the HUGE change she went through!

I remember thinking that Kelly Osbourne will NEVER change. She will always be that crazy fat girl who always makes a fool of herself.

Okay, now I will shut up. She has actually transformed into someone I envy! She's way thinner than me now and has more class. I think it's because she got over her junkie phase. Anyway, I want to know her secret. I want to be like her now.

Who would ever thought that underneath those raccoon eyes, grungy makeup, and crazy hair lies a person such as this:
